Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson gained worldwide fame for her role as Buffy Summers. In the popular film Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she played Rebecca Becky Granger. Born in California, she began her interest in acting when she was a young child. She began working in the world of advertising, appearing in many commercials. She appeared in an episode in the NBC sitcom It's Your Move, in 1984. Her big screen debut came 2 years later with the romance show Pretty in Pink. Swan was known for her gorgeous blonde lisp and the breathless sound of her voice. Recently, she's shifted from main roles to smaller roles. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category for 1989.
