Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. Early Broadway roles include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. Her performance in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel was rewarded with the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside well-known directors and actors in stage films and television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford is scheduled to be starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani, as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It premieres on the 22nd of November. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It's also available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford, who will appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the musical. Ashford's latest part was that of Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The show is based on the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. Ashford appeared for two seasons in CBS hit comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde is among her other Broadway credits. Ashford is a Denver native who now divides his time in Los Angeles.
