Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams began her career as a child of seven within Castle Rock Colorado. In the late 1990s, she started performing professionally and dancing in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. In Minnesota she was employed in a regional theatre where her role was in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a comedy documentary that focused on beauty pages. Following her debut on screen as a cute but serious contestant she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was married to the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, discovered via actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to begin her film career actor in the latter half of the 1940s. Over the course of the 1960s, Leigh starred in popular films such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho as well as Living It Up.
